Doors

They say when one door closes, another one opens. In my life, there are no doors; only doorways. I don’t believe anything can stop you from having what you want in life. Sometimes the doorways lead you to empty rooms of solitude. Sometimes you end up in a room with a person who makes you feel young and alive. Or the opposite occurs and you leave as quickly as possible. However, some doorways lead you to a room full of people who, not only welcome you, but over time, become your extended family. I was lucky enough to walk into that room a year ago. Each one of them has brought light and positivity into my life. As a team, we accomplished things I never dreamed of. They taught me many things and through them, I learned that anything is possible. Now that my time working with them has come to an end, I feel fortunate to have them in my life and hopefully they’ll stay in it forever.

My wish for everyone is to be lucky enough to have a tribe like mine. And if you don’t, when someone walks through a doorway unexpectedly or in an uncommon way, be kind and get to know them because you never know how it will all turn out.
